Matt Priddis made his début in the no. 45 jersey against Geelong in round 10 of the 2006 AFL Season. He played again that season against Port Adelaide in round 12, but didn’t play for the West Coast Eagles again until round 1, 2007, against the Sydney Swans. He played in all 24 games during the 2007 season including two finals.

In 2006, he took home the highest individual honour in WAFL football, the Sandover Medal. His tally of 58 votes was a record for the highest number of votes since 5–4–3–2–1 voting was introduced.

Priddis currently wears the number 11 guernsey for the Eagles, and enjoyed one of his best games in round 6, 2007 against the Western Bulldogs, a game in which Priddis kicked 3 goals and had 26 possessions while playing on Scott West.

He reached a career high 45 disposals, 30 handballs, 15 kicks, 5 marks and 3 tackles in round 14, 2008 against Hawthorn. His 30 handpasses was then the highest tally ever recorded
